  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study
  • 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related role
  • Five years of experience with Siemens CNC control systems, Siemens Step7, and Siemens HMI (WinCC)
  • Five years of experience with GM IT systems including FlexNet, PTPM&C, and Q-Das, and Thingworx
  • Four years of experience with Manufacturing process equipment, system engineering, and software development and hardware integration
  • Four years of experience with FANUC Robotics including setup, programming, and debug
  • Four years of experience with PLCs including Allen Bradley and Siemens
  • Four years of experience with Vision Systems including Cognex and Keyence, and 3DL Vision

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document requirements required to design an automotive system
  • Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to enable component reuse and consistency to standard methodologies
  • Oversee requirements development with other activities
  • Provide support to other specialists for root cause analysis
  • Design tests to efficiently find opportunities for design improvements
  • Identify and document system vulnerabilities and craft mitigation action plans
  • Track corrective actions
