Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in controls engineering, including PLC design and programming
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D or AutoCAD for electrical/control design
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, sensors, HMIs, and control panels
  • Experience with control panel layout and wiring design
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical control systems and PLC-based automation solutions
  • Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials using AutoCAD 2D or AutoCAD
  • Program, test, and debug PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) for new equipment and process improvements
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to integrate control systems with equipment
  • Support installation and commissioning of new control systems at customer or internal sites
  • Troubleshoot control system issues and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure designs comply with safety and industry standards
  • Maintain documentation and version control of software and schematics
