Requirements

Ability to provide contextualized English language instruction to adult refugees and immigrants online at night (Tuesdays/Thursdays 6-9PM or Mondays/Wednesdays 6-9PM)
Capability to teach multi-level (NRS 4-6) students in career areas (Career Exploration, Healthcare Careers, Early Childhood Education)
Willingness to work 20 hours per week in a limited-term, part-time role funded through a grant until 6/30/2026 (contingent on funding)
Ability to collaborate with Senior Instructional Specialist, Senior Career Education Specialist, Student Success Coach, and Instructional Manager

Responsibilities

Provide student-centered, contextualized English language instruction for adult refugees and immigrants in specific career industries
Implement scaffolded multi-level (NRS 4-6) lesson plans and materials focused on contextualized English skills, using World Relief curricula and grantor requirements
Utilize multi-faceted lesson plans integrating civics education, digital literacy, oral skills development, U.S. workplace customs, and industry-specific learning
Work closely with Senior Career Education Specialist and Senior Instructional Specialist to ensure students learn career readiness skills; pivot and adjust as needs arise
Create an online learning environment that is welcoming, accessible, engaging, and trauma-informed
Conduct student assessments and track attendance
Complete monthly reports (e.g., attendance, lesson plan summaries) for program compliance
Complete quarterly stories to support development efforts
Track professional development on appropriate forms and with certificates
Coordinate (description cuts off, but implied coordination related to tracking or program elements)
