Requirements

  • Five or more years of industrial or commercial construction related experience preferred or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction or Engineering Technician curriculum
  • Knowledge of general civil, structural, mechanical and electrical industries
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle and maintain a clean driving record
  • Performs quality work within established deadlines, with or without direct supervision
  • Interacts professionally with colleagues and customers
  • Works independently while communicating and coordinating with employees, teams, subcontractors, and partner organizations
  • Communicates regularly with the supervisor regarding construction quality matters
  • Demonstrates an attitude and attributes that positively reflect Beta’s core values

Responsibilities

  • Reviews customer specifications to ensure quality standards
  • Provides quality oversight on assigned construction projects, ensures Construction Managers implement Beta’s Quality Assurance Program, supports them in resolving quality issues, and verifies inspection compliance
  • Plans and evaluates all quality submittals related to materials, observations, and test reports for Beta, customer, and subcontractor scopes of work
  • Assists in reviewing plans for constructability concerns, validating drawing notes, confirming material specifications, and verifying material quantities
  • Audits third-party suppliers and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality plans and procedures
  • Reviews and approves third-party quality certifications for personnel performing site work, as required
  • Assists in construction oversight for assigned projects, reviews Beta and subcontractor schedules to ensure quality submittals and inspections are appropriately planned
  • Supports Project Managers or Construction Managers in resolving site-specific construction issues
  • Assists Project Managers and Construction Managers in final inspections and development of subcontractor punch lists, supports project close-out, final work items, and demobilization
  • Ensures the documentation of quality assurance and quality control for project installations through communication with Construction Managers, ongoing review of material submittals, monitoring of construction activities, evaluation of inspection reports, site inspections, assessment of construction schedules, and examination of customer specifications
  • Interprets policies as needed, maintains official document files, and manages company equipment and property
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Manager of Construction Quality or Director
