Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe
Deep understanding of financial concepts
Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills
Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Highly organized, able to multi-task, and self-motivated
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Review/audit and approve all construction draws
Assist Construction Cost Analysts’ research & resolve issues as needed
Prepare construction department reporting required by corporate
Perform cash management functions, prepare and post journal entries, and research & resolve issues as needed
Review accounts payable activity and prepare accruals as needed
Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations in accordance with client deadline/requirements while adhering to policies and procedures and maintaining adequate internal controls
Analyze rehab projects’ financial data accuracy to ensure compliance with internal/external audits; maintain records of all financial data required for audit and tax purposes
Prepare audit and/or client related requests and other duties as received
Participate in special projects as they arise
Travel estimated at 5% of work time annually for internal meetings
