Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • At least 3 years of experience in IA Technology or a related field
  • Must meet minimum requirements for DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 certification (Level 3 acceptable); obtain Level II certification within six (6) months: Certified Network Defender (CND), COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), COMPTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA), or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
  • Required to become proficient on the Customer’s Assessment and Authorization process
  • Office presence a minimum of 5 days per week at posted location(s); no relocation offered

Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for all COMSEC material issued to subaccount; ensure compliance with all applicable guidance and policies for self, alternates, and users
  • Coordinate/route all requests for transfer/disposition of COMSEC material through program leads
  • Create and maintain a COMSEC file plan per specified retention instructions and an unclassified material delivery point
  • Ensure cryptographic equipment is keyed per key effective date (load new key on supersession or zeroization)
  • Receive, handle, control, store, and destroy Top Secret keys using Two-Person-Integrity procedures; ensure two COMSEC-briefed individuals destroy material as required
  • Establish a comprehensive, recurring training program for COMSEC users
  • Prepare a written emergency plan and train all COMSEC-briefed personnel on their duties and responsibilities
  • Process all transfer, destruction, and semiannual or change of CRO inventory paperwork timely; return to program office
  • Publish a list of personnel authorized access to subaccount’s COMSEC material
  • Report known or suspected COMSEC incidents/deviations immediately to program office; ensure personnel know reporting procedures
  • Request additional COMSEC material or relocation of existing material from program office
  • Return excess material and ancillary items (racks, cables, power supplies, etc.) to COR within 15 business days after removal or identification as excess
  • Support detachment operations and maintenance personnel on new installs, circuit outages, and troubleshooting
  • Primary CRO signs all reports (Alternate signs in absence)
  • Validate continuing need for all local COMSEC material via requirements letter; request disposition instructions for unneeded material
