Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably related to insurance, business or risk management. Having Legal knowledge or background is a strong advantage
  • Ample experience in complex claims handling, preferably in marine, financial lines, or casualty insurance
  • Resides in Guam and with valid license or permit to work in Guam, as applicable
  • Licensed claims adjuster or will secure license within one year from date of hiring
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverage interpretation, and claims litigation
  • Ability to assess claims critically and negotiate settlements effectively
  • Experience in effectively following up on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous claim handling improvement
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Can manage multiple priorities and can work with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in claims management systems and MS Office applications
  • Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to work with claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy

Responsibilities

  • Handle and process claims for all lines of business
  • Provide technical and decision-making support on high value claims to major loss Adjusters
  • Review and approve settlement recommendations within delegated authority
  • Monitor claims turn-around-time, accuracy and customer service quality
  • Engage with clients and third-party vendors to facilitate fair and timely settlements
  • Support internal and external audits and provides reports and data as required
  • Collaborate with regional operations and support departments to address escalations and improve workflows
