Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary facilitator for weekly Kaleidoscope Play & Learn (KPL) sessions with children ages 0-5 and their parents at two program locations (South King County and North Seattle)
  • Plan session activities to meet program goals, integrating KPL goals, outcomes, and practices for positive early learning outcomes
  • Ensure playgroup space has appropriate materials and equipment for planned activities
  • Maintain student attendance and parent sign-in records
  • Keep classroom organized, clean, neat, and safe for children
  • Foster a positive and respectful learning environment, scaffolding and modeling positive interactions with children that reinforce healthy, developmentally appropriate caregiver support
  • Support volunteer engagement through timely communication and assisting volunteers in play groups and other Early Childhood Programs (ECP)
  • Organize and facilitate family engagement events to build strong, positive social connections for participant families
  • Conduct program assessments and integrate parent feedback into program implementation
