Requirements
- Experience in the commissioning of projects of similar character, size, and complexity to the ACJV – Central West Orana Renewable Energy project
- Demonstrated experience in delivering health, safety, quality, and environmental objectives
- Based in Sydney with ability to travel to site (north of Mudgee in Merotherie), including full-time on-site during commissioning (e.g., 14/7 or 5/2 roster)
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead project staff in all commissioning of substations, transmission lines, ancillary support buildings, and new power technologies, both through direct personnel and specialist subcontractors
- Support Construction Managers and Project Directors in ensuring works are carried out in accordance with the Project Deed, safety, agreed time, cost, quality, and scope requirements
- Assure all systems and components are designed, installed, tested, and operated according to operational requirements
- Ensure project testing and commissioning activities meet or exceed project WHS targets
- Be a leader and project champion of a safe workplace
- Ensure all activities and those of employees and subcontractors are carried out in accordance with National, State, and Company Safety Policies and Procedures
- Liaise with and provide construction input to the Environmental Team
- Ensure testing and commissioning activities and outcomes meet quality specifications
- Ensure testing and commissioning activities meet budget requirements by driving cost focus and adherence to cost control systems through project management
- Provide input to the commercial team on appropriate service providers
- Advise the Commercial Manager of any potential claims to develop appropriate notices and keep records
- Provide effective management and leadership
