Requirements

  • 4-8+ years of experience in Commercial Maintenance
  • CFC Certification Required
  • Virginia HVAC Journeyman License Preferred
  • Provide own basic tools and be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of tools
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance at multiple properties throughout the portfolio
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain property machines and equipment, including checking, repairing, and servicing machinery, equipment, systems, and infrastructure; diagnosing problems; replacing or repairing parts; testing; and making adjustments
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
  • Perform HVAC maintenance, including preventive maintenance, filter change-outs, and compressor/motor replacements
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Participate in on call responsibilities one weekend per month
  • Assist with snow removal
