Candidates must be an Undergraduate Student currently enrolled in a 4-year university in Nashville with a minimum of 2 years remaining until graduation, possess a passion for music, an understanding of how peers discover and consume music, and a deep interest in music business and marketing, and have an understanding of social media marketing and an active presence creating content on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, with availability for 20 hours per week.
As a College Marketing Representative, you will promote 4-8 artists per month and one-off promotions, implementing digital and in-person marketing strategies in your college town and on campus, creating digital content for social media to support The Orchard’s artists, hosting listening events, organizing campus activations, building relationships with influencers such as college radio stations, DJs, and student organizations, maintaining a local social media presence, implementing in-person marketing initiatives at record stores and on campus, researching appropriate online sites and attending local and campus events, attending artists’ shows to hand out promotional tools and gather feedback, and submitting detailed reports on marketing successes and initiatives.
