SIG is seeking a Colleague Financial Aid specialist to provide strategic direction and expert guidance to higher education institutions. This role involves optimizing the Colleague Financial Aid module, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring seamless functionality. Travel is required to deliver consulting services.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5 or more years working within the Higher Education Industry as a Financial Aid Leader
  • Colleague Proficiency: 5 or more years of experience working with Ellucian Colleague Financial Aid module, demonstrating advanced user proficiency.
  • Consulting Experience: Experience in a consulting capacity, focusing on enhancing business processes and creating efficiency.
  • Colleague Expertise: Demonstrated expertise using Colleague to improve and automate business processes within the Financial Aid office at a college or university.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot technical and functional issues within the Colleague Financial Aid module.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven customer service approach.
  • Self-Direction: Highly self-directed with solid problem-solving expertise.
  • Reporting Skills: Experience developing reports in support of the various Financial Aid areas utilizing Colleague.
  • Technical Communication: Ability to communicate user requirements to the technical support team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Colleague implementation support such as training, functional consulting, and technical support at client sites.
  • Analyze current business processes and make suggestions to utilize various technological tools to help improve business processes.
  • Assist clients with the Financial Aid year roll in Colleague.
  • Assist clients to ensure they follow DOE requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing project-based work.
  • Knowledge of how Colleague is used in a variety of institutional types.
  • Ability to read and write SQL queries is useful for this role.
