Requirements

  • Willingness to undergo background check if required
  • Reside in the United States
  • Previous agricultural or production experience preferred
  • Willing to sign and abide by Company Animal Welfare Guidelines
  • Ability to perform physical demands: regularly lift 10-30 pounds, use wheeled dollies for up to 300 pounds, stand majority of shift on concrete floor, walk, sit, use hands to grab/handle/feel objects/tools/controls, reach with hands/arms, balance, stoop, talk/hear, grasp objects steadily, full dexterity of both hands simultaneously, specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, adjust focus)
  • Use safe lifting techniques
  • Work on wet, slippery surfaces and in hot, dry, dusty, wet, cold environments
  • Wear required PPE: safety goggles/glasses, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, rubber boots, company-provided facial covering; NIOSH N95 respirators and arm protectors as needed

Responsibilities

  • Comply with SOPs to safely process and debone birds
  • Ensure all processes are performed accurately for proper data collection
  • May be assigned to live hang, evisceration, deboning, or swap among these positions in the same day
  • Operate high pressure and regular water hose
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Comply with specific guidelines for R&D projects
  • Use hand tools such as permanent marker, scalpels, scissors, meat thermometers, knife
  • Safely operate vehicle to and from work area
  • Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures (e.g., Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO, PPE)
