Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview
Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience preferred
Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines
No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing
Must shower, change clothing and footwear before entering the biosecure facility (company provides appropriate clothing and footwear)
Must use safe lifting techniques; regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (with two team members); occasionally lift up to 300 pounds using tools like angle iron dolly
Regularly required to stand for majority of shift on wet, slick floors

Responsibilities

Assist with the selection of approximately 2700 pedigree birds daily by identifying gender, catching, scanning wing band number, and audit market birds for wing bands (35%)
Assist with properly identifying the coop birds are assigned to (30%)
Washing/sanitizing approximately 100 coops daily via commercial pressure washer on wet, slick floors, maintain clean foot pans in assigned boot room, weekly sanitation of selection breakroom and all equipment used during selection process (15%)
Assist in set-up for selection by loading empty coops into house, placing catch frames in pens for easier bird access, hanging of lights for better visual, set up of scales and scanner, making coop labels, placing coops in pens and running needed cords (10%)
Other duties as assigned, such as: Assist with moving birds from brood house to feed conversion or dissection and wash/disinfect vehicles; properly euthanize weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy (10%)
