Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview
Preferred: Previous agricultural or production experience
Able to work Wednesday through Saturday or Sunday through Wednesday, including holidays
Able to work 6:20am to 4:30pm, with schedule subject to change based on production needs
Able to perform frequent bending and stooping to collect eggs from floor and handle birds
Able to lift birds for weighing

Responsibilities

Collect eggs from belts, nest boxes, slats, and pen floors at least 8 times daily (50%)
Observe egg shell color, texture, and size; separate and record accordingly
Mark eggs for line and source identification; comply with gathering and marking instructions for special export orders
Record and dispose of substandard eggs; pack identified eggs in plastic hatchery flats and place in farm egg cases with matching tickets for pickup
Perform routine housekeeping duties per Daily Checklist: turning/changing shavings, sweeping, dusting, removing trash, light maintenance (20%)
Check equipment, partitions, and house infrastructure daily; repair or report deficiencies
Perform routine quality assurance: monitor egg quality, collect weekly feed samples and environmental swabs, ensure boot room and work area sanitation
Feed and water birds per schedules: ensure feeders/drinkers accessible, distribute feed evenly, weigh out and distribute exact rations for hens and roosters daily (10%)
Weigh hens and roosters weekly; calculate and record individual/average weights and uniformity
Examine birds for signs of illness and treat according to instructions
Attend to and care for roosters and hens; maintain overall condition of the laying house; gather eggs for incubation per production objectives
Other duties as assigned based on business needs
