Requirements

  • Must reside in the United States
  • Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience preferred
  • Willing to work Monday through Friday, including holidays, 6:00am to 2:00pm (schedule subject to change)
  • Must pass background check if required
  • Comply with biosecurity requirements: showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering facility, no jewelry except medical ID, body piercings covered, sign agreement to avoid avian species

Responsibilities

  • Remove used litter from poultry houses (70%)
  • Clean and disinfect poultry houses and all equipment (including vehicles/tractors) using commercial pressure washer on wet/slick floors (70%)
  • Place new shavings in houses following cleaning (70%)
  • Move birds as required to growing houses, laying/pedigree houses, or live haul loading area; ensure wingbands removed for load outs (10%)
  • Maintain tractors, pressure washers, litter truck, trailers, and mechanical equipment; perform weekly and maintenance safety checks (10%)
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in working areas
  • Inspect birds to determine quality and progress by weighing weekly
  • Sanitize storage areas, breakroom, boot rooms, equipment, and vehicles
  • Organize breeder tags; grounds-keeping such as bush hogging/mowing around houses
  • Properly euthanize selected or weak/ill birds per company policy
  • Assist in special or non-routine projects inside/outside department
  • Repair cages, pens, equipment, buildings, or fenced yards
  • Perform farm cleanup such as garbage/litter retrieval (10%)
