Requirements

  • Senior student in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Detail oriented and maintains organizational skills to support team tasks
  • Demonstrates problem-solving and analytical abilities in routine tasks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively and efficiently with the team
  • Ability to occasionally lift materials up to 25 lbs
  • Experience in a laboratory environment is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions for analysis according to standard procedures
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and relevant standards
  • Accurately record and report test results in a timely manner
  • Receive samples, record them in the database, and ensure timely shipment to the relevant plant after assessments
  • Follow all laboratory health and safety protocols and best practices and guidelines
  • Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate work to maintain efficiency and ensure timely completion of laboratory tasks
  • Coordinate with other technicians to complete tasks according to the planned schedule
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities
  • Support senior technicians and scientists in ongoing projects
  • Perform any reasonable tasks and contribute to projects as directed by the manager to support laboratory operations
