Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, robotics, industrial engineering or a related field
  • Experience with one or more of the following: PLC, HMI systems, or industrial networks
  • Familiarity with SQL/databases, Linux/Windows operating systems, and basic troubleshooting methods
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to frequently walk and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to routinely work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches; stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Compliance with all safety requirements and protocols, including Lock out tag out and fall protection
  • Capability to work approximately 75% of the time on a construction site with PPE (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection harness)
  • Ability to climb steep stairs and navigate automation structures, including walking up and down stairs near high railings
  • Capability to work in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the commissioning of HMI systems and PLC controllers, ensuring proper configuration and communication under supervision
  • Conduct basic hardware and system functionality testing to validate performance against project specifications and requirements
  • Support integration testing with customer Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), identifying issues and reporting findings to senior team members
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to help troubleshoot and resolve hardware or software issues with guidance from experienced engineers
  • Contribute to commissioning activities such as control cabinet startup, software loading, configuration, and safety system validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams while developing knowledge of commissioning tools, hardware, and software through hands-on learning
