Requirements
- Previous experience in CNC operations and programming
- Supporting qualifications in Machining
- Ability to read technical drawings and develop concepts from discussion
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Confidence in using measuring equipment, including Vernier calipers and micrometers
- Understanding of quality products and fine tolerances
- Development of tooling
- Assist with purchasing machine tools, tool design and fixtures
- Assist with service engineers for machines
- Problem solving to introduce new product
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet changing needs within the team
- High standards and attention to detail
- Ability to produce cost effective solutions and savings
- Self-motivated and team player
- Ability to use own initiative and to work unsupervised

Responsibilities
- Conform to all Health, Safety and Environmental Procedures
- Operate and set CNC machines
- Set CNC machine tools, including Re-tip and DTI checking
- Inspect own work including visual of 1st off inspection
- Use of measuring equipment; Micrometres/Vernier calipers
- Backing up of CNC programmes
- Responsible for training new operators
- Working with other areas to develop improvements and savings
- Carrying out operator performed maintenance and 5S activity as required
- Milling, turning, grinding, vertical and horizontal boring
