Requirements

Expert level technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms, particularly cloud computing systems
Comprehensive understanding of cloud security technologies and major releases
Expertise in database administration (DBA) services, including physical database design and development for critical applications
Proficiency in mainframe and server databases, including monitoring, optimizing, backup/recovery, tables, indexes
Skills in Aurora PostgreSQL clusters design and implementation for high availability and performance
Advanced database tuning capabilities (query optimization, indexing strategies, memory management)
Experience with performance analysis of applications and database management systems
Ability to develop auditing methodologies and architecture for data protection in cloud environments
Knowledge of systems analysis, including requirements analysis, definition, and logical design
Familiarity with IT vendor products testing and evaluation

Responsibilities

Plan and implement new security technologies and major releases for critical enterprise-wide IT cloud platform projects
Design, implement, and deploy cloud security systems to meet business needs
Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions
Provide expert level technical support and ensure reliable operation of cloud production
Diagnose and troubleshoot the most complex security issues for cloud computing systems
Contribute to implementing leading security technologies in infrastructure to improve performance
Develop auditing methodologies and architecture to manage and protect data in cloud environments
Elevate code into development, test, and production environments on schedule; provide follow-up production support; submit change control requests and document
Learn and understand client area business functions and requirements; determine appropriate technical tools
Train and mentor junior staff on processes and technologies; troubleshoot and resolve complex issues; provide guidance and consultation
Administer system activities; write technical portions of deliverables; perform systems analysis
Provide expert level DBA services for critical business applications and databases
Develop and maintain database logs and bug lists; implement supporting database technical capabilities based on business requirements
Perform day-to-day database administration, monitoring, optimizing, developer support, and build backup/recovery jobs
Conduct performance analysis; identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement
Review application designs for compliance with production acceptance requirements; ensure backup, recovery, security, reliability, and performance
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for database security and integrity
Design and implement Aurora PostgreSQL clusters for high availability and performance
Perform advanced database tuning, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and memory management
Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
