Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, including their security services
  • Proficiency in Terraform for automating cloud resource provisioning and enforcing security configurations
  • Strong understanding of CIS Benchmarks, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
  • Ability to design secure cloud architectures integrating identity management, encryption, network segmentation, and zero-trust principles
  • Skilled in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and compliance audits for cloud deployments
  • Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and scanning tools
  • Must be AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate certified or GCP Associate Cloud Engineer certified or greater

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance hosting environments using leading cloud technologies (AWS and GCP)
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify requirements and translate them into secure, cloud-based solutions
  • Provide technical guidance on cloud adoption strategies and security integration
  • Partner with clients and internal teams to develop robust cloud security strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Review cloud architectures and configurations to ensure adherence to security best practices, CIS benchmarks, and industry standards
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud environments
  • Plan and execute legacy infrastructure transformation and migration projects, ensuring security is embedded throughout the process
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments and audits of existing cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities and risks
  • Recommend and implement remediation strategies to strengthen security posture
  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and industry frameworks
  • Design and implement secure cloud architectures that integrate identity management, encryption, and network security controls
  • Ensure security measures are embedded into infrastructure design and deployment processes
