Clinical Talk Therapist (Synchronous - Tufts) - Remote

Position Overview

The Clinical Talk Therapist is an integral part of the Corporation’s clinical team, dedicated to establishing a world-class clinical experience. This role significantly impacts multiple stakeholders, including Participants, Clinical Specialists, and the broader Health Care Industry. The Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality care to Participants, assisting them in achieving their agreed-upon goals for improved quality of life and well-being. Collaboration with the Operations team is key to enhancing process efficiency and ease of access, while close partnership with the Clinical team aims to improve the delivery of clinical care and support.

Compensation

  • Salary: $80,000 - $84,000
  • Bonus Potential: Additional bonus opportunities are available for sessions exceeding 30 per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Counseling: Provide 30 hours of direct counseling care per week.
  • Documentation: Perform concurrent note-taking during sessions and complete all required treatment plans and other documentation.
  • Team Meetings: Participate in treatment team meetings with the customer, as applicable, and attend weekly Synchronous Health team meetings.
  • Participant Advocacy: Advocate for Participants regarding decisions that meet their clinical needs.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise closely with Customer Success activities and requests, advocating for the customer’s needs.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Bring successful models and techniques from previous experiences and bodies of evidence to best support participants.
  • Material Development: Support the development of communication, outreach, and marketing materials for Synchronous Health’s services to participants, clinicians, partners, and the industry at large (e.g., conference presentations, networking events, professional organizations).
  • Escalation Point: Serve as the first point of contact for participant escalations related to dissatisfaction with any aspect of their experience.
  • Reporting: Report to the Operations team as the second point of escalation if participant concerns remain unresolved.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with new developments in clinical care, including analog and digital techniques.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Licensure: Must hold a valid LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT license in the state of Massachusetts, with the ability to practice without supervision.
  • Telehealth Knowledge: Informed on state telehealth policies.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable with technology and conducting sessions via telehealth.
  • Virtual Relationship Building: Capability to build therapeutic relationships on a virtual platform.
  • Professional Presence: Maintain a polished, professional virtual presence.
  • Level of Care Assessment: Strong ability to identify markers for the appropriate level of care to meet patient needs.
  • Treatment Experience: Experience treating a variety of conditions and disorders as part of a comprehensive treatment plan with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Technology Integration: Ability to use technologies for administrative and clinical support (e.g., scheduling, notes, chat, web-based or app-based interventions).
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check.
  • Remote Work Environment: Ability to work remotely from a secure, private location (outpatient office or home office acceptable; coffee shops are not acceptable).
  • Equipment: Access to a smartphone, laptop, and internet connection.
  • Bilingual Skills: Bilingualism is a plus.
