Requirements

  • Ability to analyze auto complex claims under segmentation rules and claims procedures
  • Proficiency in adjusting reserves, issuing payments to vendors, third parties, and/or insureds
  • Capability to identify fraud indicators and refer claims to investigation
  • Experience managing reservations, payments, deductibles, and recoveries
  • Knowledge of acceptable investigation claims handling and settlement techniques for cost-effective and timely closure
  • Skills in obtaining, reviewing, analyzing documentation, policy provisions, and other records
  • Ability to contact parties such as employers, claimants, third parties (e.g., medical providers, auto repair centers)
  • Proficiency in utilizing diary system to pro-actively resolve issues and ensure timely processing/closure
  • Capacity to meet service level agreements, initiate timely contact, and respond to inquiries per company policy
  • Ability to maintain accurate system data and documentation by collecting, recording, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Competence in determining and setting appropriate reserves within authority level
  • Ability to identify subrogation opportunities and fraud potential

Responsibilities

  • Analyze auto complex claims, adjust reserves, and issue payments (to vendors, third parties, and/or insureds)
  • Identify fraud indicators and refer claims to investigation
  • Manage reservations, payments, deductibles, and recoveries
  • Utilize investigation claims handling and settlement techniques to achieve cost-effective and timely closure by reviewing documentation, policy provisions, and records
  • Contact additional parties (e.g., employers, claimants, medical providers, auto repair centers) as necessary
  • Use diary system to pro-actively resolve outstanding issues and ensure timely processing and closure
  • Provide timely service throughout the claim life by meeting service level agreements, initiating contact, and responding to inquiries
  • Maintain accurate system data and documentation by collecting, recording, analyzing, and summarizing information
  • Determine and timely set appropriate reserves within authority level
  • Identify subrogation opportunities and fraud potential and make appropriate referrals
