Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Missouri
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a clinical setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy for children and adolescents in various settings
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions, such as play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and community resources to create a supportive network for each child
  • Participate in clinical staffing/treatment meetings to discuss client progress and treatment recommendations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
  • Assist in crisis intervention and safety planning as needed
  • Provide education and support to families on mental health topics, parenting strategies, and behavioral management techniques
  • Stay updated on the latest child therapy best practices through continuing education and training
