Medical degree from an accredited institution
Completion of a residency program in psychiatry
Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry or child and adolescent psychiatry
Valid medical license to practice in the applicable state/province
Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect
Valid driver’s license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record
Must not be under any formal disciplinary action by state board(s)
Physical ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
Manual dexterity to use hands and fingers for writing, typing, and manipulating controls

Responsibilities

Examine, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients with mental health and/or addiction medicine concerns
Provide direct patient care, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management services
Participate in emergency services to offer rapid aid during emotional crises
Ensure comprehensive follow-up care for all clients
Join client staffing meetings to identify problems and establish treatment goals
Attend required meetings, trainings, and staff development activities
Support management needs, such as data collection and program evaluation
Engage in public and community behavioral health education initiatives
Complete psychiatric evaluations and medication follow-up appointments in a timely manner
Offer medical/psychiatric consultation to internal staff and external entities as requested
Collaborate and provide support to assigned Nurse Practitioners, fellows, residents, and students
