Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Competency in emergency operational procedures, including CPR and emergency measures
  • Ability to administer medications and IV conscious sedation per physician orders and regulations
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, CQI tools, and compliance with company, state, and federal standards (e.g., OSHA)
  • Skills in staff training, staffing coordination, and risk management
  • Proficiency in medical records management, patient billing, supply management, and cost containment
  • Ability to operate and inspect facility equipment (e.g., patient monitors, defibrillators, medical recording devices, computers)

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive quality standards through regulatory compliance, CQI practices, and action plans
  • Implement training, ensure compliance with risk management, and address adverse events
  • Communicate and implement quality policies to facility staff; maintain integrity of medical and operational records
  • Comply with data collections, auditing, and maintain facility environmental integrity and safety
  • Coordinate patient care from admission to discharge, including assessments, education, and workflow assistance
  • Educate patients and families on post-procedure care; act as resource for patient concerns
  • Schedule procedures efficiently, oversee documentation, confirm orders/consents/lab work, and manage lab requisitions
  • Assume primary responsibility in emergencies; provide direct patient care and monitoring pre/intra/post-procedure
  • Ensure regular communication with physicians; participate in Governing Body and CQI meetings
  • Work with physicians and staff to ensure necessary instruments and equipment
  • Ensure operation, regular inspection, and reporting of malfunctions for facility equipment and operating systems
