Requirements

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a human services field (non-licensed) and/or certification as a Qualified Addiction Professional per the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB)
  • Credentials such as Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC) are preferred
  • Willingness to become credentialed in additional states and provide telehealth services
  • Successful completion of a background check including criminal record and driving record
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance
  • First Aid and CPR certification to be obtained within the first three months of employment
  • Completion of training requirements including Behavioral Management training

Responsibilities

  • Complete the intake, screening, and assessment process within designated time frames
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with state guidelines and clients' unique needs
  • Facilitate group counseling and individual sessions aimed at resolving substance use-related challenges
  • Participate actively in clinical staffing and treatment team meetings, sharing pertinent case insights
  • Document services provided in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Assist clients through transitions, preparing necessary documentation and correspondence
  • Maintain professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, in adherence to the agency's Code of Ethics
  • Handle crisis situations effectively and represent the agency in the community professionally
