Requirements

  • 21+ years of age
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Ability to touch freight – lift, push, or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds
  • May be required to unload/deliver various products on an assigned route schedule

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and transport doubles (potentially triples) between Sysco facility and shuttle yards
  • Build relationships with each customer with positive, friendly attitudes
  • Become familiar with customer operations to meet needs and expectations
