Requirements

  • Legally authorized to be employed in the United States (no sponsorship for employment visa status)
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or equivalent field preferred
  • 3+ years of manufacturing purchasing experience including quoting, negotiating, planning, and tracking
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred
  • Good Project Management skills

Responsibilities

  • Quoting, planning, ordering and tracking delivery of all components across assigned categories
  • Reviewing overall inventory vs department goal and determining actions to be taken
  • Working with team individuals to determine correct plan of action
  • Working with suppliers to reschedule
  • Assisting with component shortage
  • Addressing vendor delivery issues
  • Managing special projects that may be new development or short in scale
  • Helping to lead lean initiatives with production
  • Managing all aspects of assigned component procurement in support of the Farmington Manufacturing Operation
  • Exclusive responsibility for placing orders for components ensuring optimal quality, cost, and delivery parameters
  • Facilitating customer service levels about 98%
  • Evaluating and managing vendor performance to ensure DSI performance, on time deliveries and adherence to quality specifications
  • Developing, organizing and implementing inventory reduction projects and processes
