Requirements

Bachelor/master’s degree or equivalent through experience
3+ years of relevant work experience in the software engineering industry, with experience in a similar position
Familiar with Agile as well as Waterfall approaches
Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and backlog tools (e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps)
Experience with modeling languages (e.g. UML, BPMN)
Able to present and lead workshops with clients
Strong analytical, interpersonal and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
Strong organizational and time management skills
Willingness to occasionally travel to Belgium
Native in Dutch and fluent in English

Responsibilities

Analyze user search behavior and metadata transformation needs
Translate functional requirements into detailed user stories with acceptance criteria
Collaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to manage the shared backlog and sprint planning
Validate user stories during sprint reviews and ensure alignment with project goals
Document functional decisions, business rules, and mapping tables
Support test data creation, mockups, and acceptance testing
Provide expertise in troubleshooting and resolving functional issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams as necessary
Contribute to semantic modeling and linked data strategies
Use tools such as JIRA for backlog management, issue tracking, and sprint coordination
Ensure transparency and traceability of requirements and decisions throughout the project lifecycle
