Entry-level position requiring development of Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) in a supervised environment
Ability to work under close supervision with detailed instruction until completion of task-specific training and demonstration of competency
Must obtain and maintain water treatment equipment qualification by completing Annual Water Training
Must maintain current required certifications
Ability to perform routine tasks including repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation consistent with training and qualifications

Responsibilities

Perform timely routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on dialysis equipment, water treatment systems, and physical plant, including maintaining aesthetics
Coordinate and complete scheduled and unscheduled routine repair and maintenance of physical plant by company-approved vendors
Participate in preventive maintenance of all ancillary devices following manufacturer’s recommendations, company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Purchase and maintain inventory of service parts using approved sources; ensure RGA and warranty parts are returned timely
Perform water/dialysate sample collection, processing, evaluation, and reporting per policies and procedures
Document all daily, weekly, monthly repair and maintenance activities/repairs per applicable policies/procedures
Update project tracking or other company tracking/documentation systems as assigned
Participate in monthly Technical CQI/QAI process, including analysis, data assembly, technical discussions, reporting outcomes, and implementing approved improvement plans
Collaborate with facility staff to ensure regulatory and OSHA requirements are met
Review water system documentation to verify compliance and perform daily, weekly, monthly trend analysis, anticipating actions to ensure proper function
Identify and escalate instances where company policies and procedures are not met
Participate in managing Program’s Medical Supply Inventory, including par values, ensuring correct inventory for patient treatments, performing physical counts, and generating reports
Support clinical education by administering return demonstrations during Annual Water Training
Monitor and review patient care staff’s technique for testing water system, ensuring compliance with policies and manufacturer specifications
