Candidates must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), possess at least one year of experience providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations in a school setting (excluding clinical fellowship year), and demonstrate fluency in both Spanish and English for bilingual services. Strong communication skills and comfort with technology and virtual telehealth platforms are also required.
The Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist will conduct SLP evaluations and deliver direct services to children, provide bilingual (Spanish-English) therapy services to meet diverse student needs, translate evaluations and materials between English and Spanish, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans and IEPs, continuously monitor student progress and adjust strategies, effectively communicate with parents and staff in both English and Spanish, complete essential documentation for IEP reports and evaluations, and meet with teachers and specialists to discuss student needs and interventions.
