Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean
  • Technical understanding of products purchased

  • Ability to perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities
  • Familiarity with master data management and ERP planning modules

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, analyzes, and resolves exceptions and error reports from master data management and ERP planning modules
  • Establishes and monitors finished goods inventory levels to ensure on-time compliance to customer release requirements while minimizing carrying and premium freight costs
  • Reviews department/plant measurables (customer delivery, supplier delivery, premium freight, and inventory) and establishes corrective measures for performance adherence
  • Facilitates the resolution of supplier inbound quality issues
  • Supports product supply and inventory plans consistent with the objectives of the business or product line
  • Reschedules materials for pull-ins (expedites) and push-outs (for inventory control)
  • Achieves daily, monthly, and annual team targets (KPIs)
  • Adheres to yearly budget and carries out the plan to meet that budget
  • Aligns Innovation team to forecast and reduces labor expense, forecasts, tracks, and escalates as necessary
  • Responsible for establishing and promoting a safe working environment and establishes and monitors compliance activities to support the safety program
  • Develops knowledge of Material Requirements Planning by assisting Supply Analysts plan the phase-in and/or phase-out of products; identifies unique components for products being phased out or inactivated
  • Prepares mechanisms for tracking inventory of unique components to ensure use-up plan to minimize excess and/or obsolete inventory is successful
  • Monitors product phase-in/out plans to minimize excess or obsolete inventory and issues progress reports during the phase-out period
  • Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost-effective and timely manner
  • Monitors the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure highest quality at best value
  • Obtains materials, components, equipment, and services while ensuring security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review
  • Analyzes and corrects cycle count discrepancies
  • Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy
  • Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry
  • Realizes a sense of urgency around business imperatives, convinces others of that urgency, sets well-defined goals to meet business challenges, ensures performance against those goals, and overcomes obstacles to drive initiatives to closure
