Current registration and in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario
Responsibilities
Coordinate care of ill and injured workers for return-to-work assessments and fit-for-duty evaluations
Engage with site and regional medical resources to support clinical activities which include medical triage, medical qualification and monitoring assessments, and facilitating plant physician clinics
Conduct new hire post-offer health questionnaire reviews, focused physical assessments, and medical qualification testing
Work with third party vendors to facilitate health services programs and resources based on business needs
Ensure compliance with occupational health programs and medical testing requirements of OHSA, P&G Medical and Industrial Health & Safety standards
Attain and maintain current knowledge of the site’s chemical, biological, and physical risks/hazards and participate in change management and site safety reviews and risk assessments
Promote and contribute to a healthy workplace culture by providing health education and supporting wellness programs offered by the site
Occupational and non-occupational disability management
Ensure data confidentiality, data privacy and data safety for occupational health records. Ensure compliance with the company’s electronic medical records system
Provide comprehensive nursing care including prompt medical emergency response, medication administration, referrals, as well as prevention, treatment and follow-up for occupational injuries and illnesses
Collaborate with other team members to provide site health and safety needs for the plant. Support site assessment audits, site risk analysis, and occupational health management plan to support the health services
