Responsibilities

  • Help the bartender set up the bar for service, including getting ice and setting up the service wells
  • Slice and prepare garnish, making sure there are backups
  • Restock the bar with beer (always rotate the products, cold beer to the front, new to the back), liquor, glassware, juices, etc
  • Heat cider, water, and tea for hot drinks and continue to fill during service
  • Make sure that everything is at the bar and that there are enough backups for the shift
  • Stock the bar with other items needed for service, such as lemonade, bar towels, etc
  • Make sure that the bar is clean before opening and during service
  • Wash and buff glasses and make sure they are returned to the correct place
  • Change liquor bottles when needed and recycle the empties
  • Create enough fresh squeezed juices and syrups for a smooth and efficient shift
