Requirements
- Ability to proof and bake unfinished bakery goods using ovens and/or other equipment, following product handling information
- Knowledge of bakery production charts for production, display, and preparation needs
- Skills in packaging, decorating, rotating, and storing bakery products per food safety, freshness, and handling policies
- Capability to receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Understanding of club policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Commitment to safety, cleaning, and organization standards in the bakery department
- Ability to work as a team, maintain a friendly and positive attitude, and deliver GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate)
- At least 18 years old for 401(k) eligibility (implied general requirement)
Responsibilities
- Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods following product handling information and using bakery production charts
- Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on production chart recommendations, including safe handling and storage
- Package freshly baked goods such as cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- Decorate special order or case products
- Rotate and store bakery products following food safety, freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
- Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Answer member questions, recommend bakery items, answer calls, and take special orders
- Gather products to be prepared for the next business day
- Maintain all cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department
- Support club policies, ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, and deliver service excellence to members
- Work as a team to achieve GOLD club standards, including stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining signage, and keeping areas clean and organized
