Requirements
- Ability to proof and bake unfinished bakery goods following product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment
- Knowledge of safe handling and storage instructions for bakery goods
- Ability to maintain cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department
- Capacity to carry out job functions as assigned and support club policies, procedures, and compliance
- Commitment to honesty, integrity, leading with the member in mind, and escalating concerns as appropriate
- Ability to ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work collaboratively as a team, and move with speed and agility
- Maintenance of a friendly and positive attitude
- Understanding of how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
Responsibilities
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items to members
- Answer member calls and take special orders
- Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods using ovens/equipment and bakery production charts as a guide
- Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on production chart recommendations
- Gather products to be prepared for the next business day
- Package freshly baked goods, including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items as needed
- Maintain all cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department
- Deliver service excellence, resolve and deescalate member concerns, and commit to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate)
- Work as a team to deliver GOLD club standards daily, including grand opening look, stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining visible accurate signage, and keeping areas clean and organized
