Job Description: Generative AI Platform Engineer

Position Overview

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a talented engineer to join its GenAI Hub team. This role involves building and scaling CrowdStrike's internal Generative AI platform, which supports over 8,000 active users. You will be responsible for developing robust backend services that power the GenAI ecosystem, including retrieval-augmented generation systems, inference load balancing, autonomous agents, and model orchestration frameworks. The platform serves as both a direct productivity tool and a foundation for developing AI-powered solutions and agentic applications.

About the Team

You will join a high-performing team of experienced engineers focused on building CrowdStrike's central GenAI platform. The team operates in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with weekly planning and checkpoints, emphasizing quick, autonomous execution without compromising quality. Collaboration with data scientists, UX designers, product managers, and AI champions across the organization is key.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable cloud services using Go in a cloud-native environment.
• Build reusable platform components and frameworks for GenAI and agentic AI use cases.
• Develop and operate secure LLM deployments in both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Create deep integrations with internal enterprise systems and establish frameworks for future connectors.
• Build high-performance data processing pipelines for document handling and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Engineer agentic workflows and autonomous agent capabilities for complex task execution.
• Engage directly with internal users to understand requirements and provide technical consultation.
• Own features end-to-end, from design through deployment and operation, including on-call responsibilities.
• Drive innovation in the Generative AI landscape.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Genuine passion for Generative AI technologies and applications.
• Strong proficiency in Go or any modern programming language for backend service development.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Bedrock, Sagemaker, RDS).
• Practical knowledge of operating production services, including CI/CD, monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), and Kubernetes.
• Strong grasp of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing.
• Experience with LLM integrations and AI/ML platforms.
• Knowledge of message queues and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining APIs aligned with industry standards.
• Understanding of engineering best practices (code reviews, testing, resilient architecture).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
