Requirements

High-performance API engineering experience building systems that respond in single-digit milliseconds at scale
Excitement for optimizing performance, such as shaving microseconds off response times
Proven experience with high-throughput, low-latency services (e.g., real-time bidding platforms, payment processing systems, recommendation engines, authentication services, content delivery networks)
Strong focus on clean architecture, observability, and creating APIs that developers love to use
Comfort with code operating in the critical path of customer user experiences
Ability to work in timezones between GMT-8 and GMT+2

Responsibilities

Own the entire feature flags evaluation engine end-to-end: design, build, deploy, and scale
Build and optimize services in the hot path for real-time impact on customer applications
Scale new services from first principles rather than maintaining existing infrastructure
Define and own performance targets, including latency goals for customer success
Work autonomously to maximize impact on customers by solving big problems and iterating quickly
