Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active and good standing with a state bar
  • 8+ years of experience in real estate law, with a proven track record in complex commercial transactions, preferably in the telecommunications, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
  • Extensive experience negotiating and closing purchases, sales, leases, and easements of commercial and industrial properties
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple high-value projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Advise executive leadership and business teams on all legal matters pertaining to real estate, including acquisitions, dispositions, and development of property to support company operations and network expansion
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate contracts, such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, subleases, easements, licenses, and rights-of-way
  • Manage due diligence for real estate transactions, identifying potential risks and ensuring clear title, environmental compliance, and resolution of encumbrances or liens
  • Oversee land use, zoning, and permitting processes for construction and operation of telecommunications facilities
  • Direct outside counsel and coordinate with internal legal, compliance, and risk management teams to manage litigation or disputes related to real estate assets
  • Develop and implement real estate policies, best practices, and training materials to ensure consistent risk management and regulatory compliance across the company
  • Monitor changes in real estate law, telecommunications regulations, and industry standards, proactively advising stakeholders of impacts to business operations
  • Join a team of in-house real estate attorneys and paralegals, fostering professional growth and high performance
