Understanding of macOS and Windows operating systems
Ability to work a minimum of 28 hours per week

Solid computer and technical background, with experience in new media and online organizations
Familiarity with streaming and broadcast media

Background in video quality control (ideal)
B.A. degree or equivalent (preferred)
Fluency in languages other than English, particularly Thai, Vietnamese, Czech, Slovak, or Hungarian (preferred)
Background in encoding video for the web (helpful, preferred)
Understanding of various video codecs, notably H.264 (preferred)

Responsibilities

Review and analyze video and audio files for visual and auditory defects (e.g., pixelation, audio sync issues, color correction errors)
Verify subtitles accuracy
Log and document quality issues, generating QC reports and flagging critical errors for immediate attention
Maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, and recording the results
