Candidates must hold an MD, MB/BS or equivalent degree with extensive medical knowledge and demonstrated clinical experience managing pulmonology patients in a hospital setting. Significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical medicine is essential. Fluency in spoken and written English is required, along with a proven understanding of the NDA submission process and regulatory guidelines for adverse event reporting. Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills are also necessary.
The Medical Director will provide medical support and advice for clinical trials and safety evaluation within the Pharmacovigilance department. This includes offering medical leadership to study teams, contributing to protocol development and amendments, reviewing clinical documents, and performing real-time medical monitoring of studies to ensure subject safety and medical validity. They will also serve as the primary liaison between sponsors and internal departments, educate investigator sites, manage day-to-day clinical trial activities, and act as the medical point of contact for all stakeholders, including investigators, IRBs, and Health Authorities, while ensuring study compliance with all relevant SOPs and GCP.
