Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
  • >1 year of people management experience (preferred)
  • Aspiring people leader with the ability to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback while developing skills in managing team performance (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop talent by fostering growth, engagement, and building a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for discipline in work execution, ensuring strategic, process excellence, technical rigor, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and enforce procedures to ensure the effective operation of your areas as well as implement ideas and systems to improve efficiency of the shop and labs
  • Work with project teams to maximize utility of the R&D lab space and identify opportunities to share equipment and capabilities across the R&D organization
  • Communicate and influence effectively with customers, employees, partners, and senior leaders by conveying complex business, regulatory, and technical ideas clearly
  • Drive financial accountability by creating, managing, and tracking project budgets while contributing to business unit R&D projections, financial models, and overall strategy
  • Oversee the development, engagement, and collaboration of your direct reports on the R&D of the Inari Business Unit
  • Lead the R&D Operations team comprising of personnel in the R&D Lab, Machine Shop, 3D Printing areas
