Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, data analytics, or a related field
  • 10-12 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with data tools that enable the transformation and analysis of large data volumes
  • Preferred: advanced degree or on a path toward licensing as a Certified Member of the Institute of (incomplete in JD)

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects and innovation strategies
  • Oversee the annual stock basis computations
  • Manage tax related legal entity master data and system updates across all tax systems
  • Lead and mentor staff, and ensure that they are meeting their targets and providing timely and high-quality work
  • Manage the technology support ticket queue in WorkFront related to areas of responsibility
  • Develop additional automation within TDMI and Corporate Tax to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Ensure the TDMI team is aligned with the company's goals and objectives
  • Support tax aspects of major business initiatives, including requirement planning, testing, communication & training
  • Provide data for audit support across Tax and support CbC & Pillar Two reporting
  • Anticipate internal and external environment changes and assess whether the technology solutions and teams are prepared to address future needs
  • Develop and grow the project management, process improvement, and technology skills of the wider tax team to enable the Tax Function of the Future via ongoing communication, training, skill development support, and tool access and training
  • Oversee tax-related master data for legal entity management systems (e.g., Triton, Common Entities, Legal Entity Manager, International Tax Calculator)
  • Create and provide up-to-date legal entity organizational charts globally as needed for audits, ensuring related controls are executed
  • Oversee the recently implemented stock basis tool and annual update process, leveraging expertise in Tax transaction support, US federal, and US international teams
  • Manage tax aspects on intercompany reporting for tax reporting
  • Support tax technology aspects (data load and transformation) of Country-by-Country and Pillar Two reporting
  • Oversee implementations of tax-related software applications (e.g., ONESOURCE Dataflow, WorkFront, Alteryx Workflows, Power Bi Dashboards, Power Apps, SharePoint)
  • Lead or assist with automation efforts and global tax transformation projects within TDMI and Corporate Tax
  • Serve as the India site leader for Disney’s Tax Operations group and directly/indirectly manage employees and contractors
  • Work closely with other tax groups, departments (e.g., finance, IT), and co-sourcing partners to integrate TDMI with finance optimization initiatives
