Requirements

  • Proven track record of managing industrial hygiene programs at a global scale
  • Forward-thinking leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and create a safety-first culture
  • Subject matter expertise in industrial hygiene, including air contaminants, chemical exposure, physical hazards (noise, radiation, etc.), ergonomics, and biosafety (with significant focus on biosafety)
  • Current industry knowledge and ability to maintain expertise in regulatory requirements and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of global strategies for industrial hygiene, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Lead or support the implementation of holistic, corporate-wide programs and plans for Industrial Hygiene (including Biosafety, Ergonomics, Radiation Safety, etc.), ensuring risk management, exposure control, compliance verification, and a culture of continual improvement
  • Ensure suitable systems, programs, and policies are in place for identifying, assessing, managing, and controlling exposure to hazardous chemical and biological materials, including robust health hazard assessments
  • Maintain subject matter expertise and provide technical support to business units, manufacturing sites, research/development laboratories, and global project teams to ensure consistency and best practices
  • Build and maintain relationships with leadership, business units, sites, and functional teams, providing interpretation and expert advice on industrial hygiene issues to drive decision-making and performance
  • Collaborate with site EHS, Engineering, Facilities, operations staff, and industry partners to design/implement controls for exposure reduction, containment, ease of operations, and innovation
