Requirements

  • Associates Degree, or higher, in a Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD / CAD) related degree, or Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in AutoCAD, or Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Civil 3D
  • 2 to 5 years of work experience in preparing civil site development drawings
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD
  • Detail oriented, willing to use basic geometric math, and able to visualize geometry in 3 dimensions
  • Highly motivated, willing to coordinate with other disciplines, and able to keep track of multiple tasks with separate deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sketches and the 2D portions of detailed design drawings
  • Assist the lead civil designer and civil engineer with preparing and issuing detailed design drawings, including plans, details, general notes, profiles, cross sections, legends, key plans, and schedules
  • Assist the lead designer with aspects of 3D modeling in Civil 3D
  • Checking and back checking drawings
  • Help resolve design clashes between disciplines
  • Help coordinate document reviews with other disciplines
  • Assist with uploading documents into the document control system
  • Help fulfill requests made by other disciplines
