Requirements
- Associates Degree, or higher, in a Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD / CAD) related degree, or Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in AutoCAD, or Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Civil 3D
- 2 to 5 years of work experience in preparing civil site development drawings
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD
- Detail oriented, willing to use basic geometric math, and able to visualize geometry in 3 dimensions
- Highly motivated, willing to coordinate with other disciplines, and able to keep track of multiple tasks with separate deadlines
Responsibilities
- Prepare sketches and the 2D portions of detailed design drawings
- Assist the lead civil designer and civil engineer with preparing and issuing detailed design drawings, including plans, details, general notes, profiles, cross sections, legends, key plans, and schedules
- Assist the lead designer with aspects of 3D modeling in Civil 3D
- Checking and back checking drawings
- Help resolve design clashes between disciplines
- Help coordinate document reviews with other disciplines
- Assist with uploading documents into the document control system
- Help fulfill requests made by other disciplines
