Requirements

M.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Neurophysiology, or related scientific discipline with a minimum of 2 years industry experience (or BS in Neuroscience, Neurophysiology, or related with minimum of 6 years industry experience)
Ability to design, perform, analyze, and critically interpret in vitro experiments on molecular and cellular mechanisms linking metabolism with neuronal function
Strong expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques including western blotting, PCR, cell culture (iPSC and primary), and immunohistochemistry
Prior experience with microscopy and imaging analysis
Excellent troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills, attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills to present data and conclusions clearly to research teams and leadership
Firm understanding of neuroscience
Demonstrated expertise in research as evidenced by excellent peer-reviewed publication record

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and implement innovative approaches to add functional capabilities and gain new insights into disease biology, compound target engagement, and pharmacodynamics
Perform research on molecular and cellular mechanisms linking metabolism with neuronal function
Work collaboratively across multiple geographies of Lilly’s research sites as part of a cross-functional team exploring connections between metabolic processes and neuronal function
Contribute to the development of innovative therapeutic strategies in pain and neuronal health research
