Requirements

Candidates should possess an actuarial background with an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation preferred, and a minimum of five years of experience in the financial services industry. Experience with life and annuity product features is desirable, along with a proactive and independent approach to problem-solving. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences, are also required.

Responsibilities

The Associate Actuary, Third Party Reinsurance Management will oversee the work effort of the reinsurance TPA, analyze the financial impact of changes in reinsurance coverage, organize and present postings to internal committees and senior management, manage and support reinsurance captives, and provide product and system expertise related to reinsurance for all areas of the company and the reinsurance third party administrator (TPA). They will also respond to escalated service and system issues relating to reinsurance queries and issues, interacting with internal and external stakeholders including new business operations, product development, sales/marketing, corporate actuarial, legal, senior management, and reinsurance third party administrators and reinsurers.
