Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and have achieved the Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation, meeting the eligibility requirements for Humana’s Actuarial Professional Development Program (APDP). Strong communication skills and knowledge of medical insurance, particularly Medicare Advantage, are required.
The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions, establishing metrics and providing data analyses to support business intelligence. They evaluate industry trends and forecast the organization’s financial position, ensuring data integrity through process development and controls. This role collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs, troubleshoot problems, and develop cost-effective resolutions for data anomalies, beginning to influence department strategy and making decisions on complex technical approaches while exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
