Requirements

  • 10+ years of lived experience using screen reader technology
  • Experience with accessibility guidelines and regulations, including WCAG 2.2, Revised Section 508, and ADA Title II
  • Experience applying accessibility knowledge across a wide range of Content, Platform, and Web applications
  • Strong knowledge of how people with different disabilities use assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, screen magnifiers, keyboard-only access) and the ability to effectively assess accessibility barriers
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills to present testing results, findings, and recommendations clearly
  • Adaptability with evolving processes, prioritizations, and deadlines
  • Experience teaching others about accessibility and accessible technologies
  • Strong understanding of HTML, ARIA roles, and semantic markup is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct manual accessibility testing of websites, widgets, and digital content using AT tools (e.g., NVDA, VoiceOver, Zoom)
  • Evaluate products against WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508, and ADA conformance guidelines and standards
  • Document accessibility issues, bugs, barriers and provide actionable recommendations for remediation
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and QA teams to improve accessibility outcomes
  • Participate in user testing sessions and provide feedback based on real-world AT usage
  • Maintain clear communication of test results, including screenshots, documentation, steps to reproduce, and help with the prioritization of accessibility issues
